Rascal Basket were a Lincoln band, specializing in a heavier sound, reminiscent of Black Sabbath during Ozzy’s reign supreme, or of a middle period Soundgarden. The playing was loud, the songs were great, and the band put on an entertaining live show. In the fall of 1996, bassist Johnny Green was ousted from the band, due, of course, to “creative differences.” We at -ismist have subsequently fallen out of touch with the band as well, for the same reasons. They may even still be a band.
