Omaha’s Jimmy Skaffa was conceived in late 1992 by ex-members of local ska bands Knuckle Junction and the Porkpie Conspiracy. After the initial foundation of drums, guitar, bass and vocals was laid, the band soon added an additional guitarist, an additional vocalist and a horn section – some scene veterans and some newcomers. With its ten-member (!) lineup firmly in place, the band began crafting a body of songs. Vocalist Ross Manhart has subsequently left the band to form Row 8, Plot 30. Jimmy goes on without him.
