Todd Grant knows about life in the middle lane, with little hope of passing. These songs were written by Todd, “…the stormy weekend of Valentine’s Day, 1994… Armed with various chemicals, two bottles of fine liquor, a few guitars & no ideas.” The songs are an accurate portrayal of the above conditions, coming out melodic and pretty, but yet somehow overbearingly depressing. This album was recorded at Airwave Studio in Birmingham, Alabama, marking the first -ismist release to be recorded way out of the region. Reminiscent of Lou Reed and Julian Cope.
